And the king commanded, and they brought those men that had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces, before they came to the bottom of the den.
then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to do unto his brother: so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.
but the children of the murderers he put not to death; according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, as Jehovah commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, (and) Israel shall be glad.
Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein; And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.
Whoso causeth the upright to go astray in an evil way, He shall fall himself into his own pit; But the perfect shall inherit good.
I quieted (myself) until morning; as a lion, so he breaketh all my bones: From day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.
