Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah. Blessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for; And by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil. All the brethren of the poor do hate him: How much more do his friends go far from him! He pursueth (them with) words, (but) they are gone. Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found; call ye upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil which he said he would do unto them; and he did it not. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee. in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,
