Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
But Nineveh hath been from of old like a pool of water: yet they flee away. Stand, stand, (they cry); but none looketh back.
And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like the wilderness.
