And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed. For in the image of God made he man. Come, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field, The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth! Let them praise thy great and terrible name: Holy is he. And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me. and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined (their) appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation; for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man. and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him: For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind. But the tongue can no man tame; (it is) a restless evil, (it is) full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we the Lord and Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God:
